Swiss bank plans new cable car across Lake Zurich

The zurich cantonal bank (zkb) has give you a unique manner of celebrating its one hundred and fiftieth birthday in 2020 – it plans to build a temporary cable vehicle across lake zurich.
The 1.4km cableway will connect landiwiese with zurichhorn throughout the northern tip of the lake and will be able to transport 2,000 passengers according to hour in its 14 gondolas.
The idea is to open the cable automobile in 2020 – the financial institution's one hundred and fiftieth anniversary year – for a duration of 5 years.
In a statement on thursday kzb, which became founded in 1870, said it desired to “construct on the pioneering spirit of its founders” by developing something that would underscore the bank's ties to the metropolis and canton.
It also wants to make the population think about the site visitors problems that are “part of the major social questions of these days and the following day”, it said.
Though the challenge remains in the planning stages, the bank stated it had the help of the cantonal and municipal authorities.
The cable vehicle is expected to cost 40-60 million francs. The expected price tag charge for a adventure might be 5-15 francs.
The financial institution also wants to create an ‘journey garden' at landwiese containing a park, cultural pavilion, hanging gardens and play regions.
